On the 21st of April 2021, the ESA's ARTES Advanced Technology team will present its new activity on 'inflatables to drag down small satellites'.

Join the webinar on Inflatables to drag down small satellites on Wednesday 21st April at 14:00 CEST (13:00 BST).

To help reducing the rising number of telecom satellites in low Earth orbit, ESA is looking to work with industry to develop an inflatable device to drag down spacecraft after mission completion. 

This 4 Million Euros activity aims to spin-in proven terrestrial inflatable technologies, such as airbags from the automotive sector. The funding programme ‘ARTES Advanced Technology’ is looking for bidders and will therefore presents the objectives of the activity during this one-hour webinar.
