The International Space Station Mission Management Team decided on Sunday to proceed with a spacewalk Monday out of the Quest airlock by Expedition 46 NASA’s Commander Scott Kelly and Flight Engineer Tim Kopra to move a Mobile Transporter rail car.
The spacewalk will last around three hours and is scheduled to begin Monday around 13:10 GMT. NASA TV coverage will begin at 11:30 GMT.
Tim Peake will be heavily involved in the spacewalk as inside support to help his colleagues don their spacesuits and monitor their progress for mission control.
He Tweeted earlier today:
Busy day on #ISS today preparing possible EVA for @astro_tim & @StationCDRKelly tomorrow. My job is to help them get out and back safely

Well done all. Scott Kelly said it was “pretty easy”. Maybe after astro training which is like a double PhD, AFTER being something like a test pilot! Massive massive respect
