Over the last two days Orbital’s Cygnus spacecraft has been flying through space catching up with the International Space Station.

Today from 09:30 GMT NASA Television will broadcast the grappling and berthing of the supply ship Cygnus with the International Space Station. At the controls is NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren.

A delicate dance, the 7500 kg spacecraft will hold near the Station and grabbed by the 16-m robotic arm that is part of the Space Station – all while flying at 28 800 km/h.

The grappling is scheduled to start at 11:10 GMT with berthing and installation starting at 13:00 GMT.
