Our roundup of the many messages for Tim. We send these to Tim for him to see on the Space Station, but he does not have time to reply to all. They are very much appreciated though!

Dear all, I am a rainbow leader with the 1st Sawtry rainbow unit. I would just like to share my thanks with all the team and especially Tim Peake for inspiring the girls so much. I have a group of five year old girls who truly believe it is possible for one of them to go to space if they want to. They have all been learning about space and the work Tim is doing on the international space station at school. We had a night junk modelling tonight and, without any prompting from us, they all decided to work together to build a rocket so they could go and visit Tim on the space station. They even include their own solar panels so they could get enough power to get there. As a primary school teacher by day it is fantastic to see so many children, girls especially, interested in space travel. Tim is a hero in my book and has left a legacy beyond anything we could have ever imagined. The girls asked if I could send a picture of their rocket to Tim, I couldn’t see a way to do so through his page so thought you might be able to do something for them! Once again, thank you for everything you are doing. Emily Warren, 1st Sawtry Rainbows

I have have been trying to sort a picture of my son to Tim Peake’s page but I am not able to. He has recently taken an interest in all things space and sky watches with me. He would love Tim to see him looking for him with our telescope. He would also like to know if Tim had any Christmas presents in space and is it nearly time for him to go back home? His name is Jack and he’s 6 years old from Hull UK.

Hi everyone at the European space agency my little boy wants Tim Peake to see his new top he is so so excited as he said that he will go up to space can you send this photo up to Tim please my sons name is Nathan stimson

Hi ESA, Joseph (aged 6) made a phenakistoscope showing the cycle of the moon. He got a Special Head Teachers Award for it too! Joseph is really enjoying following the Principia mission and of course Tim Peake. He wants to wish Tim Good Luck and hopes that he has a great time and gets home safely. – Of course we all wish that too. X

These guys are his Heros and this is what he asked Santa for , an astronaut suit and a dark-Den with special lighting (he says is his space station) …. Thank you and have a wonderful Christmas

As a child of ’67 most of my preschool memories are of Christmas, Birthdays and Apollo. Tim, you have clearly lit the torch to inspire a new generation of Astronauts, especially in the UK and it was very moving to see the Union Jack on your left sleeve during the space walk. My son is rocket mad and we always try to spot the station when it orbits over our home in Sydney. Your videos are fascinating too and the one showing all hands cleaning the station on a Saturday has probably helped parents everywhere. Yours, David Lewis
In my late fifties and discovered a special interest in space. Better late than ever. Since your launch our family has regular Major Tim daily updates where we go through the day’s tweets and blogs, it gives us valuable family time and also a time where we all smile at the same time. Your mission creates conversation as well as raising questions that we now jump on the computer to find out the answer to. You carry the Union Flag on your sleeve with pride quite rightly. The support is phenomenal down here and don’t forget that whilst the children are super important there are a many of us silver surfers who are glued to all your adventures. You never stop learning! With all the very best wishes from Cornwall England and can’t wait to read more. Thank you
