Our heroes are getting ready to land on a comet! Last week we released a new episode of our ‘Once upon a time…’ cartoon, where Rosetta makes the final arrangements to deploy Philae on Comet 67P/C-G.
We were very happy to see how hundreds of thousands of viewers watched and enjoyed the latest episode, and with #CometLanding only a couple of days away, we’ve prepared a new social media theme kit for you to download. The kit includes covers and avatars with screenshots from the latest cartoon, so feel free to use them on your social media profiles to show your support for Rosetta’s and Philae’s greatest adventure yet.
Here are a few examples, and if you want to save the complete set of images, download this zip-file. Go Rosetta, Go Philae!

Youpi ! 🙂
Oops, the profile pictures are too small! Facebook ask at least 180 x 180.
Hi Erwin, sorry, the profile pictures in the blog post are indeed too small, but you can find them in a suitable size (200 x 200) if you download the zipped file with the complete kit here.
Hope this helps!
Thanks Claudia!
…and this would be my question too!! 😀
thanks, I downloaded the .zip archive
What REALLY should have happened, from the get-go, is for someone to have performed a modicum of (social-networking) research inasfar as image requirements are concerned. Then provided the files as ‘individual downloadables’ as well as ‘all-encompassing’ files (zips). We’re following a NASA project here, folks, how about a little focus and accuracy. Just sayin’. (BTW, there’s still time.)
“…We’re following a NASA project here, folks, how about a little focus and accuracy…”
You mean, for instance, realizing this isn’t a NASA project at all, but the ESA? 😉
Seriously… if the biggest complaint you have is that the image files aren’t the size you are expecting, we’re doing pretty darn well.
It would be great if we would get some desktop wallpapers too 🙂
Thanks a lot Claudia. The images are super cute and fantastic.
Felicitaciones al equipo ROSETTA !! Este tipo de cosas enorgullecen a la Humanidad – Gracias por su trabajo !!! /// Congratulations to the team !! ROSETTA These things take pride Humanity – Thanks for your work !!!
Claudia,
What is the licensing on these videos? I wanted to use some frames from the video for a personal project and wanted to make sure such derivative works were allowed.
Thanks.

If really like to see some phone wallpapers, iPhone 6 ones especially, showing various stages of the mission. The animations are gorgeous but I can’t find anything suitable to even crop for my phone. There was a great dark pic circulating on Twitter last night of Philae going to sleep next to the crater. That would make a great wallpaper if done officially and to phone dimensions
Do you know when the next cartoon is scheduled for release? I have a class of 14 year olds who want to see Philae’s adventures on the surface.
Hi Craig, We don’t have a release date yet, but there will be a follow up 🙂
