Awesome, you did it! You’ve sent in your #WakeUpRosetta video! Now, to make sure Rosetta really can hear you waking her up (and invite you to her historic landing event in November), spread the word and promote your video.
Need some inspiration? Here’s how…
Things you could do, to help spread the word:
- Do you know famous people on the Internet? Tell them about your video.
- Grab your entry URL and tweet: “Wake up, @justinbieber…!” Oh, wait, wrong person. That should be: #WakeUpRosetta!
- Have good karma at Reddit? Go for it! Want to have good Karma on Reddit? Your video is meant to be the next big thing anyway, isn’t it… ?
- DO NOT share your video on Facebook, as this could seriously harm your success… Just kidding!
- Create your own dedicated Facebook page as Abigail has done!
- You were smart enough to have your cat starring? Give the #catcontent community a hint…
- Your video post may soon disappear in your friends’ newstream but your profile picture and profile cover will not.
- We don’t know about your baking skills, but free cookies seem to be a good motivator as well
- Refresh your e-mail signature with something like:
This wake-up call and any attachments are intended for the use of the addressee only: Rosetta! The unauthorised disclosure, use, dissemination or copying (either in whole or in part) of its content is absolutely welcome since we really want to get this cute little comet chaser to wake up! Please consider the Universe before printing this video. Better share it: YOUR VIDEO URL.
- Although this is an online contest do talk to people about it in the street, the kindergarten or at a traffic light.
Most important: Keep promoting your video. Good luck!
And if you have any tips, hints or lessons learnt for sharing your wake-up video, add them to this blog post as a comment (see below).
Editor’s note: You can see the ESA communications team effort here – not eligible to win, but don’t worry: it wouldn’t anyway!

Nice article with brilliant ideas to spread the awareness around ESA’s thrilling Rosetta mission! A large variety of people can then discover the videos and “like” some of them instead of a reduced community “voting” repeatedly : makes the challenge even more interesting ! 🙂
