Post launch and LEOP status

ATV Albert Einstein is performing nominally! That’s engineer-speak that means, “Everything’s OK…” The update below is an extract from the mission report for 6 June sent by ATV-CC. Note all upcoming activities are subject to change.

GENERAL STATUS

  • Successful Ariane 5 mission and ATV LEOP (Launch and Early Orbit Phase) activities
  • ATV is nominal, in free flight at 260km

ATV STATUS

  • All subsystems nominal
  • Increase of temperatures for some components due to high beta angle [or position of the Sun relative to ATV] and no eclipse. No issues. Nominal management and monitoring by ATV-CC.
