ESA astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti is preparing for her second mission to the International Space Station. Scheduled for launch on a US commercial crew vehicle as part of Crew-4 in 2022, she is expected to become the first European female to command the International Space Station. This will occur during Expedition 68a.
In a recent session with ESA Director of Human and Robotic Exploration David Parker, Samantha answered questions from David and the public about her commandership role and upcoming mission. David also shared plans for the future of exploration at ESA.
