First impressions of ESTEC – exploring the new nest

In this video diary, Sarah Petkus, kinetic artist and roboticist, shares her first impressions of ESA’s technical centre (ESTEC), and her robot, Noodle, gets settled in his new home.

 

Sarah Petkus is at the European Space Agency’s technical centre (ESTEC) in the Netherlands for a three-week residency to explore aspects of robotic exploration in space. Sarah is accompanied by the Wandering Artist, a 60-cm tall, four-footed robot, also known as Noodle. Later this summer Sarah and Noodle will head to the Ars Electronica Futurelab to develop Sarah’s concept to be shown at the Ars Electronica Festival, September 7-11, 2017 in Linz, Austria.
