Tim Peake, Tim Kopra and Yuri Malenchenko will be leaving Earth to the International Space Station Tuesday 15 December 11:03 GMT. Sitting atop 274 tonnes of rocket fuel reaching speeds of around 28 800 km/h in less than ten minutes will be an intense experience for Tim as well as for onlookers on Earth.

Where will you be watching the event? With the blast off being broadcast on the BBC and on ESA Television we hope many will be watching and wishing the three astronauts well as they embark on the six-month space adventure.

Tim has asked you to share how you are watching the launch. Show him your setup at home, the view at the launch event you are attending or a screenshot from your computer at work. Share your picture on Instagram or via Twitter with hashtag #GoodluckTim.

We will send some of the pictures to Tim Peake to welcome him aboard his home in space.
