Zero Debris Webinar #2: Unlocking Funding for Zero Debris Innovation & Commercialisation | 23 May 2025 (Online)
The 2nd Zero Debris Webinar will focus on the critical role of funding in accelerating innovation and commercialisation for sustainable space operations. Attendees will be introduced to major funding instruments available through ESA and the European Commission, spanning the full innovation lifecycle—from early-stage research to market-ready solutions.
It will offer practical insights into programmes such as ESA’s INVEST Marketplace and the European Innovation Council’s Pathfinder, Transition, and Accelerator schemes. Participants will also learn about recent funding calls, upcoming opportunities, and how to effectively position their projects to secure support.

Zero Debris Booklet Workshop | June 11-12
Collaborative technical sessions focused on:
- Deep-dives into implementation of the Zero Debris Technical Booklet
- Sharing experiences and use cases from the current Booklet

Space Weather Resilience Hackathon | 23-25 June 2025 (ESA ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany)
As part of ESA Acceleration days, Master’s or Ph.D. students and early-career professionals from ESA Member States, Associate Members, or Canada will engage in a three-day immersive hackathon at the ESA ESOC site in Darmstadt. The multidisciplinary teams will collaborate to create innovative solutions using space weather data to support spacecraft operations.
Participants will work on a real-time, real-world use case co-designed with ESA’s Space Weather Office, targeting issues that matter to the space community.
Applications are now open for the ESA Acceleration Days on Space Weather Resilience. Please note that applying for ESA Acceleration Days does not confirm your participation. Once the application period closes, selected participants will receive a confirmation of their participation.

European Space Weather Week | 27-31 October 2025 (Umea, Sweden)
The European Space Weather Week is Europe’s flagship event, bringing together diverse groups in Europe working on different aspects of Space Weather and Space Climate.
This year’s overall theme for the ESWW is “Technological expansion of the Arctic: the new frontiers of space weather”, bringing the spotlight to recent development and progress in the field while focusing on the very region where we will gather for the conference.
The Topical Discussion Meeting (TDM) will focus on current innovation models and their application to the Space Weather domain building on real case studies and lessons learned.
