Following the final full orbit determination before separation, the Flight Dynamics Team at ESOC confirm that Rosetta and Philae are on the correct orbit and that Rosetta can achieve the delivery trajectory, i.e., it can be at the correct point in space at the correct time so as to deliver the lander onto the surface as planned.
The GO was announced at 19:00 UTC/20:00 CET.
The next Go/NoGo, to confirm that the commands are ready to be uploaded and that the orbiter is in good health, will be made at 00:00 UTC/01:00 CET.

Frankfurt also remains awake! 🙂
Sitting in the TIZ next to the ESOC I can literally feel the tension rising! I cross everything I have: it’s gonna be a total success and I whish the teams all the best! Enjoy the moments to the touchdown. We will surely open a bottle of sparkling in our TIZ offices once Philae dug itself in.

I can’t believe how excited and tense I am about this! I’ve installed the Live Stream app on my Tablet and keep being a fly on the wall at ESOC. I can see that I’ll probably keep peeping at it through the night. Especially at the next Go/NoGo point.
Good luck everyone at ESA – you have so many people rooting for you.
Wishing the greatest success from Kentucky! Breathe holding moments I am sure. Good Luck!
From conception, through countless arguments, meetings and disputes, over decades of work by thousands of people… to this!!…. an absolutely stunning achievement. It makes me truly proud to be human. Rosetta has the spirit of the European Renaissance running through it. Beautiful! Well Done. Fingers crossed for the landing tomorrow.

Good luck from Denmark – Philae – stunning journey and projekt. We won´t close an eye before you are safe down on
Please ESA provide the best coffee in the City to the Flight Dynamics Team.
You guys have some big geeky cojones to get this far – best of luck and congrats on your great work!
Got everything crossed. Good luck to all!
We, too, in Florida have our fingers crossed.
Just watched 5 minuts of the live transmit, and I really have a sense of the intense work and, and… well it must be somewhere else than mission control room 😉
Wait a minute, is that a bebop version of Van Morrisons ‘moondance’ on the Mission Control Radio? Music for airports with a contextual twist.
I wish you all the best of luck Rosetta and everybody ta ESA, and good landing Philae! Go!
I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep this night!!!!!
Good luck folks make history
Really hope it will be as smooth as sailing on… the Nile River…!
Enjoy the cruise, Philae, and the landing…!!6035
Saludos desde México y muy buena suerte!!!
Congratulations to your whole team involved in this mission. You have accomplished a milestone that no one has ever completed on Planet Earth. Keep up the good work and I will be watching LIVE all night in Boston, MA.
Watching from California. Godspeed to everybody!
Good luck Rosetta and greetings from Copenhagen 🙂
Good luck Philae, long journey lies behind you already… By the way, isn´t this inspiring? Space travel can show what mankind is able to achieve when working together. In that regard, thanks to Alexander Gerst for sharing his insights and bringing people to think about some things… and feel the spirit of curiosity, admiration, and fascination again! So does Rosetta. Thank you everyone at Esa, and good luck Philae!
Wish you good luck
Good luck hunting down the black comet with your harpoons tomorrow Philae. Captain Ahab was a pussy, you are not!
Belgrade, Serbia is with you guys!!!
Wish u luck.!
The only sad part is that all of humanity is not sitting on the edge of their seats tonight. On a brighter note, many of us are!
Absolutely amazing. Never thought to see anything like this in my lifetime (77 years). Fantastic achievements, so far.
All possible good wishes to all at ESA for a successful landing tomorrow
I will be up all night here in Boston, Massachusetts. I’ll be thinking of you all every step of the way. We are GO for separation here. You can do this. You really can!
Barcelona is also awake…….. and nervous!!
Good luck!!
Congratulations and good luck… Great example of vision and technological advances. Remember that Rosetta was built the Ipad did not exist, the Iphone did not exist, facebook did not exist and the internet was used by “only” 800 million people, compared to 2.5 billion today !
Godspeed Philae!
Frekkn awesome. Over a decade in the making. Sooo excited! Good luck from Canada!
Good luck everyone – the world is watching you make history.
I’ll be watching for the duration from the Pittsburgh area. Good Luck my friends..
It would be a shame to say “I hope for success” due to the perfect management and work of the involved scientists and engineers. The only thing that gives me a queasy feeling, is the condition of the landing surface. In this regard, I have no alternative left but to hope …
Arthur from Switzerland
Good luck!
We, Members of the Star Observatory in Germany (Code C31), will also be awake and absolutely excited to witness this historic moment…go Philae, go…
Bologna (Italy) on shift and awake! Let’s move on, lads!
You also have a GO from Dublin, Ireland. Keeping our fingers and toes crossed here.
Congratulations to all of you,
Best wishes
What an ambitious plan this started out as and now its so exciting. If I was on the team I would be so proud. Congrats already to get this far. I’ll be watching….
In the small village Güllesheim I`m watching what is going on with Rosetta and Philae. It´s a special feeling like a mothers waiting for a birth, will everything work? What will us be given? What will happen? Best wishes !
How many baby girls born tomorrow will be called Rosetta? Not many called Philae I guess. And as for
Agilka……
Good luck for all these brave men and women that worked so hard! Best wishes!
How many babies called Rosetta, or Phil, to be born mid august 2015… Great happy night from Paris to you all!
First cup of coffee of the night. I remember Apollo as a kid, this is so much better. Just hope the science doesn’t get hidden away once excitement is over. A proud European wishing Philae the best of British from the UK.
A glorious event in mankind’s history. A craft sent from a tiny oasis called earth will reach its intended destination after its long lonely journey
My best wishes Rosetta !!!
Congratulations to all the minds and hands behind this unique achievement !!!
What an extraordinary day in human history !!! Thank God we are living it !!!

This is so exciting. Best of luck to all those who are involved.
Best of luck and waiting for right landing news/picks
Yes, waiting and waiting and waiting for pics. And for moderators to get to work…
This is great but please update the website with pictures more frequently. It is kind of embarassing that you can put a spaceship on a comet but cannot put a picture on a website in a timely fashion.
