Today was really a major milestone, the satellite was ready, the launcher was ready and the managers went to the Mission Control Center (MCC) to authorise the start of the countdown at L-25 hours.

This also authorised the folding up of the platforms in preparation for the removal of the service tower (MST).

Once the roll back was complete the team went to stand in front of the launcher as it stood in the open in all its glory, a magnificent sight. Now it really felt real!

Despite comments that Frederic had expanded over the years we still got a good view of the launcher.

Today also scientists and VIP’s started to arrive in preparation for the launch tomorrow.
