After the disappointment the day before of a launch scrub due to a technical issue with the spacecraft the countdown was resumed at L-8 hours. The weather was perfect and there was an air of anticipation of what was to come.

In the MCC the countdown was running smoothly

Then came the bit we had all been waiting for…..lift off!!

Then an emotional point for those who had worked on the project for many years, the last view of the stacked satellites as they left the launcher.

Then came a few minutes of tension where the team waited to get first contact with their babies. The S-band signal was received.

Cheers from all the team!! the CSC and OSC satellites were communicating.

The satellites were safely in the hands of Redu.

This is my last post as Launch Campaign Manager so i wish Proba-3 and the team a very successful mission.
