The first photo was taken at 06:53CEST this morning and the (bright) streak is the ISS passing by (that’s Stéphane’s house in the picture…). Cool!
Now here’s what’s even better: two minutes later, Stéphane also grabbed a snap of ATV Amaldi passing by — following right along many kms behind and much lowers, still, than the ISS (~275km vs. ~390). And the streak is, of course, much fainter due to ATV being much smaller than the massive ISS. But it’s clear in the image!

Thank you so much regarding producing the article ATV-3 chasing the ISS: seen today from ground | Edoardo Amaldi . I couldn’t know these details, and so i will keep the idea handy now so we could research it in the foreseeable future.
