Wrapping up “Norway week” on this blog following the highlight of Norwegian contributions to the European Service Module and Tuesday’s Art for Artemis let’s look at the last artwork to come from the Kristiania University College, in Olso, Norway.

Marte My Jensen writes: My inspiration for the illustration was the female participation in the program. I wanted to include a woman in my illustration, without using typical female stereotypes. Therefore, I wanted to use the “we can do it” symbol, as it symbolizes feminism and female strength.

What school are you studying at and what degree?

Im currently not studying, but I studied illustration when I made this Artemis piece.

Tell us about the technique used to make your Art for Artemis piece

The tecnique i used for my illustration was Adobe Illustrator.

What inspired you to make the artwork and who are your inspirations in general?

My inspiration for my work was the “we can do it” woman, and my inspiration in general is feminism.

Do you have any thoughts to share about the Moon and human spaceflight?

I think its great that a woman participates in the moon spaceflight and representates feminism in space.
