ATV’s cousin from Japan, HTV-4, “Kounotori,” the H2 Transfer Vehicle-4, arrived today at the vicinity of the Space Station. It was captured by NASA astronauts Karen Nyberg and Chris Cassidy and firmly attached with the ISS robot arm to its docking port on the Harmony module.
The HTV, a 10-metre-long spacecraft, brought 3.6 tons of science experiment, equipments and supplies to the orbiting complex.
HTV-4 was launched from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan on 4 August at 4:48 (Japan time).
