The mission is operating as expected; ATV continues on nominal track for docking on 15 June.

The CAM (Collision Avoidance Manoeuvre) test was completed by ATV-CC on 11 June; this ensures that the vehicle can perform a CAM when so commanded either by ground or by the astronauts on the ISS during docking.

ESA’s Jean-Michel Bois, Head of the ATV Operations Team at ATV-CC, added this update in a separate note:

Note the successful manoeuvres [two of them, which provided a change in velocity – delta-V – of 1.67 m/s and 1.60 m/s] on 12 June. The
ATV’s altitude is roughly 300km now.

One ‘highlight’ of the day was coping with a predicted debris conjunction – a piece of debris was predicted to cross the ATV trajectory just between the first and second mid-term boosts.

CNES Flight Dynamics, in coordination with the NASA TOPO [Trajectory Operations Officer – responsible for planning and tracking the current location and destination of the ISS and its supporting vehicles] who provided the alert for us, had to recompute within just a few hours of the manoeuvres a new set of boost times and delta-Vs to ensure that we passed by this object at a safe distance (around 3 km in this case).
