A lovely photo sent in today by Patrick Faucon, who captured both the ISS and ATV in two series of images separated by about 37 seconds. Nice work, Patrick, and thank you for sharing! – Ed.

Here is my photo of ATV-3 and the ISS taken on 29 September from Aachen, Germany. The two vessels were crossing the constellation of Auriga. There was a hole in the clouds around 6:02 CEST that let me take two series of pictures. First was a sequence of five images of the ATV followed by an second series of the ISS (following the same track) about 37 seconds later. Technical details: 2×5 images, 800 ASA, 50 mm lens open at F/1.6 and each of 1.3 second exposure. The images have been stacked using Startrail.
