The Sentinel-2 Payload Data Ground Segment (PDGS) team had a pre-launch meeting at ESA’s Centre for Earth Observation (ESRIN) on 24 February. During the briefing, each team member declared the status of their specific system or area of responsibility – and all confirmed readiness for launch and ready to support the Sentinel-2B commissioning activities.
The overall status of the mission as well as the overview of the Sentinel-2 constellation milestones were reported by ESA’s Sentinel-2 mission manager, Bianca Hoersch.
After the meeting the team gathered for the traditional photo. As Olivier Colin, ESA’s Sentinel-2 PDGS Operations Manager, said, “PDGS is GO for launch!”
