We have been continuing to functional tests on the Sentinel-1B satellite. This has included testing the avionics sub-system including the on-board computer and the attitude and orbit control sub-system’s sensors and actuators.
We’ve also completed the X-band tests. The X-band antenna is used to send radar data to the ground stations when the satellite is in orbit. We’ve also started to work on putting the multilayer insulation in place. This material plays an important role by helping to keep the satellite at the correct temperature in the extremes of space.
