— End Update —

We’re happy to announce ESA’s participation in re:publica, one of the world’s largest and most exciting conferences on digital culture and the digital society, taking place in Berlin from 6 to 8 May 2015. The conference is probably best described in the words of  journalist Jeff Jarvis: “re:publica is South by Southwest with a European accent (…) it is a favorite conference of mine.” We can only agree with that – and will thus bring not just our ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst, but also – comet science & twitter geeks watch out – some of the (human) protagonists of ESA’s famous Rosetta comet mission.

Science writers and tweeters Emily Baldwin & Karin Ranero, Rosetta Flight Operations Director Andrea Accomazzo and Philae Lander Technical Manager Koen Geurts will share some unique insights with the audience.

More information on both the Rosetta and Blue Dot sessions, taking place on 7 May 2015, is available at the re:publica website:

Both sessions will be streamed live, although the Rosetta session will be Audio only. Later, both will be available as Video on Demand too.
