On Thursday 7 May 2020, join the ESA Clean Space team live to understand the Agency’s vision of ‘On-Orbit Servicing’. They will share with you their vision of future missions to re-fuel, repair and even de-orbit spacecraft, as well as new technology developments and safe, ‘close proximity’ operations.

In recent years, governments have invested huge amounts in in-space robotics, rendezvous manoeuvres and in orbit operations. Now, a number of On-Orbit Servicing (OOS) missions around the globe have been committed to for the first time in history.

ESA has obtained funding for the Active Debris Removal through In-Orbit Servicing (ADRIOS), and will continue to enhance technology developments from two view-points:

  1. Technologies for future servicing vehicles covering rendezvous and capture, refuelling, deorbit, assembly, manufacturing and recycling on-orbit.
  2. Technologies for future satellites to enable servicing such as standardised interfaces for capture, refuelling, rendezvous markers etc.

The Webinar will take place on 7 May at 15:00 CEST, running for approximately 1 hour with some additional time at the end for Q&A for those interested.

The Clean Space team would like to invite the European and Canadian industry to join the webinar. Please register by sending an email to cleanspace@esa.int by 30 April 2020 indicating your name, your company, country and phone number.
