Dirk (ESA) Dinslaken, Germany, 15 August

The weather has allowed us to perform first flights for the C-MapExp campaign. Even though the conditions were not completely optimal, the team was happy to have the first measurements right at the beginning of the campaign.

The weather forecast predicted a cloudy day, but when we arrived the weather got better and better and the clouds disappeared.

So we rushed to start and were able to take off an hour later. The two teams came back after five hours having measured CO2 and CH4 from different sources in the region. In parallel, the team from Bremen started processing the data and the first quick looks are promising.
