A first glimpse at Room Bravo …

... the place where ILAtweetup 2012 will take place. OK, it doesn't look very fancy yet, but it sure will - in a bit more than a week from now. Expect rocket scientists, astronauts and many more to rock the stage!

'Which stage?' you might ask ... we'll post updates as they arrive!

This update was published earlier this evening in the DLR Blog by Andrea Schaub, from the DLR communication team in Cologne. Andrea lists some very useful links for this weekend's events. We'll add our own post within tomorrow to list the additional ESA and other social media links (as far as we know them) via which you can follow the DLR/ESA SpaceTweetup and German Aerospace Day.

On 18 September 2011 DLR is hosting, for the eleventh time, German Aerospace Day in Cologne, offering young and old alike the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of DLR's research work. For those interested in following this special day online and those active in social networks, we will be reporting live throughout the event here on this blog as well as on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr.

NASA mascot to visit ESA and DLR

File this one under 'humour': A fabulous — and very tongue-in-cheek — press release has been issued by one of our favourite rubber chickens. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) mission mascot, Camilla Corona SDO, posted this update earlier today to announce the Big News: Camilla will take part in this week's DLR/ESA SpaceTweetup! Read more about her in the SDO Mascot blog. And welcome! We're delighted to have her as a special guest...
