After almost a year in space, NASA astronaut Scott Kelly and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Korniyenko will return to Earth tonight in a Soyuz spacecraft. They will return in Soyuz TMA-18M with Sergei Volkov who arrived at the the International Space Station in September together with ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen.

Scott Kelly handed over command of the Space Station to Tim Kopra yesterday, formally beginning Expedition 47:

Scott, Mikhail and Sergei will say goodbye to their crewmates at 21:40 GMT and close the hatch to their Soyuz. The spacecraft is scheduled to undock 01:02 GMT Wednesday morning with landing expected in the steppe of Kazakhstan at 03:32 GMT. Watch live at these times via NASA television below:
