Malcolm Davidson (credits: ESA)

Malcolm Davidson is head of ESA's Earth Observation Campaigns Section. His role is to organise these field experiments in support of missions under development and also validation campaigns for missions in orbit.


Tania Casal

Tania Casal

Tania Casal recently joined ESA as a Scientific Campaign Coordinator. Tania's background is in paleoclimatology and physical oceanography. Before joining ESA, Tania participated in several research cruises addressing issues such as meridional overturning circulation and heat flux as part of her PhD at the University of Miami and postdoctoral studies at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). More recently, she took part in the Arctic campaign to validate ESA's CryoSat mission.

 


 

Dirk Schuettemeyer

Dirk Schuettemeyer coordinates a range of different scientific campaigns within the Mission Science Division at ESA-ESTEC in the Netherlands. Dirk is also responsible for verifying the different sources of data from campaigns and is involved in projects studying exchange processes in the atmosphere by means of new remote-sensing techniques. Dirk's background is in meteorology.


 
Remo Bianchi

Remo Bianchi

Remo Bianchi is a scientific campaigns coordinator with expertise in optical sensors and requirements for satellite missions focusing on the land. His present role is to manage measurement campaigns in support of the GMES Sentinels, Application and Earth Watch projects, and Earth Explorer missions. He is also responsible for archiving campaign datasets for Cat-1 distribution to the scientific community. Remo is based at ESA-ESRIN in Frascati, Italy.
